It is a simple way to stay comfortable at a drafty desk without turning up the heat for the whole room or office.
It runs on a low-voltage 5V/2A USB supply at 10W, with no open flames and nothing to refill. Plug it into a 5V/2A wall adapter or power bank; laptop and computer USB ports do not supply enough power, and a weak source is the most common reason it feels cool. The 1.55 m cable reaches easily under most desks, and three styles are available, including classic gray.
The heating element can be removed so the cover can be washed, which keeps it clean and fresh. Reinsert it only after the cover is completely dry. For safety, start on the lowest setting, never use it while sleeping, and check your skin during longer sessions. If you have reduced sensitivity to heat, check with your doctor before use.
